Virginia Woolf said of her in a Room of One's Own:
"All women together ought to let flowers fall upon the tomb of Aphra Behn, for it was she who earned them the right to speak their minds."

Indeed, a toast to all those women who risked their lives, broke down social conventions and barriers and were harsly criticized for that. They opened up paths for all of us... Behn was independent, resilient and brave. I read some of her poems :so funny, so daring... I really enjoyed them.
